Account Executive

OPIN offers a unique opportunity to thrive and grow in a small-team startup environment operating at scale. Our clients are the largest enterprise organizations in North America and what we do affects millions of consumers. This position requires client travel within North America.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical skills, business acumen, and be a creative problem solver. You will manage new and existing accounts and should have a general understanding of enterprise level solution selling methods. You’ll strategize with senior management and OPIN’s Product Managers and draft responses to RFPs and make shortlisted presentations that best address customer pain points and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will identify how OPIN Software is best suited to address a prospective client’s digital communication challenges by building appropriate solutions in Open Source CMS frameworks along with ancillary hosting services and management tools (ie: Acquia, Pantheon,, Lingotek, SiteImprove).

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategically driving and closing new enterprise business opportunities using Drupal CMS as the foundational platform for OPIN’s professional services

  • Fulfilling a wide range of requests for information (RFI, RFQ) from current and prospective customers; qualifying the opportunity and appropriate sales approaches

  • Using knowledge of the industry, technology, processes, and consultative sales skills you will assess and educate customers on the value of our business practices, plus technical and implementation expertise

  • Building in-depth knowledge of client’s business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into OPIN solution opportunities

  • Demonstrating the ability to advance sales campaigns in a needs-based and highly

  • Aligning with appropriate delivery teams to leverage follow-on business from one delivery mission/project to another. Ensuring effective coordination and support between account teams and supporting technical resources

  • Demonstrating a broad understanding of a client’s present and future requirements

  • Generating revenue through up-selling and cross-selling activities within a territory or account

  • A modern approach to sales and sales operations a must

    • Salesforce knowledge valued

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

    • Capable of understanding and leveraging industry/market trends and basic business/financial concepts

    • Preparing RFPs and proposals as a core and fundamental skill.


  • Bachelor's degree or Technical Certificate preferred

  • Experience in sales or marketing of software solutions valued - Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Sharepoint, Oracle

  • Knowledge of corporate and government procurement, buying cycles and influences

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to quickly establish and build trust

  • Strategic perspective and ability to manage details

  • Capable of communicating technical and business concepts
